Privacy Policy

Effective May 3, 2026

This policy explains how Isla Travel Deals handles information for travel discovery, comparison, saved planning tools, admin image workflows, and outbound partner links.

This document is written to describe the current Isla Travel Deals product experience. It is not a replacement for partner privacy policies when you leave Isla to book on a third-party website.

1. Overview

Isla Travel Deals helps travelers discover Philippine destinations, compare curated partner options, save ideas, organize trip boards, and continue to third-party partner sites for booking. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and what choices you have.

This policy applies to the Isla website, public destination and Discover pages, map and planning features, account tools, admin workflows, image upload tools, outbound partner links, and related operational systems.

2. Information We Collect

We collect information in a few practical categories, depending on how you use the site.

  • Account information: name, email address, profile image if provided by your authentication provider, sign-in provider, session records, role, and account security metadata.
  • Saved planning information: bookmarks, saved destinations, saved deals, trip boards, trip titles, notes, date ranges, traveler type, budget preferences, alert preferences, and saved trip-board items.
  • Public browsing and technical information: pages requested, referring pages, browser and device details, approximate timestamps, error diagnostics, security events, and server logs needed to operate and protect the site.
  • Partner-link activity: the outbound destination, deal, provider, placement, token, page type, approximate locale, and redirect status when you click a partner link.
  • Content and admin information: destination, deal, Discover, image, import, QA, report, and operational data entered or uploaded by authorized administrators.
  • Uploaded media metadata: image path or URL, file name, scope, content type, file size, storage provider, upload date, and archive status for reusable admin image assets.

3. Information We Do Not Process

Bookings are completed on partner websites, not on Isla. We do not process partner checkout, payment card details, booking confirmations, cancellation requests, refunds, loyalty accounts, or customer support messages handled by partner sites.

If a partner site collects information from you, that partner's privacy policy and terms apply to that activity.

4. How We Use Information

  • To provide public destination discovery, map search, Discover articles, comparison pages, account features, bookmarks, trip boards, and admin content tools.
  • To remember saved planning choices, keep account sessions working, and show the right saved-state controls.
  • To route outbound partner links, measure click activity, troubleshoot broken links, and improve deal freshness and partner quality checks.
  • To operate content management, image uploads, image reuse, launch readiness checks, provider imports, QA workflows, reports, and release verification.
  • To protect the service from abuse, spam, unauthorized access, scraping, security incidents, and technical failures.
  • To understand which destinations, content, filters, and partner options are useful, using analytics or operational tools configured for the deployed site.

5. Cookies, Local Storage, and Similar Technologies

We use necessary cookies and local storage for sign-in, session continuity, security, saved planning features, and remembering cookie preferences.

Optional analytics or marketing technologies should only be used when configured for the site and disclosed through the consent experience. You can manage cookie preferences through the site notice and your browser settings. Blocking necessary cookies may prevent sign-in or saved planning tools from working.

6. Partner Links and Affiliate Disclosure

Some outbound links may be affiliate links. If you click a partner link and later book, Isla may receive a commission at no extra cost to you.

Partner sites control their own prices, availability, booking flow, payment processing, cancellation rules, refunds, loyalty benefits, customer support, privacy practices, and terms. Always confirm important details on the partner site before booking.

7. How We Share Information

We share information only when needed to operate, secure, or improve the site, or when required by law.

  • Service providers: hosting, database, authentication, storage, email, analytics, monitoring, security, and operational tooling providers may process information for us.
  • Partners: when you click an outbound partner link, the partner receives the request needed to open its site and may collect information according to its own policy.
  • Legal and safety: we may disclose information if required by law, to protect rights and safety, or to investigate fraud, abuse, or security issues.
  • Business changes: if the product is transferred, merged, reorganized, or sold, information may be transferred as part of that transaction, subject to this policy or a replacement notice.

8. Data Retention

We keep information for as long as needed to provide the service, maintain records, operate saved planning tools, troubleshoot issues, meet legal obligations, resolve disputes, enforce terms, and protect the site.

Archived admin image records may remain indexed so existing public pages do not break. Archive does not necessarily delete the underlying file or remove URLs already saved in destination, deal, or Discover content.

9. Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards designed to protect information, including access controls, server-side authentication, database protections, and operational monitoring. No internet service can guarantee absolute security, and you should keep your account access secure.

10. Your Choices and Rights

  • You can browse public pages without creating an account.
  • You can choose whether to save bookmarks or trip boards.
  • You can delete or edit supported saved planning records through available account tools.
  • You can manage cookies through the cookie notice and browser settings.
  • You may contact the site operator to ask about access, correction, deletion, or other privacy requests where applicable.

11. Children

The site is intended for general travel planning and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children where parental consent is required by applicable law.

12. International Use

The site may be operated using service providers and infrastructure located in different countries. By using the site, information may be processed where those providers operate, subject to applicable law.

13. Updates to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy as the product, partners, legal requirements, or operational practices change. The effective date above shows when this page was last updated.

Questions about this policy can be directed through the account or support channel provided by the site operator. For booking, payment, cancellation, or refund questions, contact the partner where the booking was completed.
